Emulsifying Wax
Emulsifying wax is used to bind oil and water together in formulations where they would normally separate — like in lotions, creams, and some balms. It acts as a stabilizer that keeps the mixture smooth and consistent over time.
In skincare and cosmetic products, it’s essential for making things like:
- Lotions and creams (oil + water emulsion)
- Conditioners
- Serums
- Body butters with water content
It’s not typically used in candle-making, unless you’re creating a lotion candle or a massage candle that includes both oil and water components.
